Dear Priest Lake Friends,
For over 20 years, the Priest Lake Food Bank has been serving the needs of our community from our small location alongside the church on Highway 57. Today, we have exciting news and we’re sharing it with you because we need your help.
We have outgrown our current space, which we share with the thrift shop. This setup has tripled the amount of work required to distribute food to those in need.
Thanks to generous contributions from people like you, we now own commercial property facing Highway 57, across from Autumn’s Loft. Plans are in motion to build a new facility there - one that’s three times the size of our current location. This new building will allow us to store all of our inventory in one place and significantly reduce the amount of food handling (currently up to seven times per item). Most importantly, we’ll finally have control of our own future with a building that sits on land owned by the Priest Lake Food Bank.
We need your support to make this vision a reality. Please consider making a much-appreciated, tax-deductible donation to help us complete this project. Our building season at the lake is short, and we’re finalizing architectural plans now. With your help, we can begin construction and finish the project by next year.
To contribute, send a check or money order to:
151 Pettit Lane, Priest Lake, ID 83856
We will soon have a credit card donation site as well.
Your support will help us continue providing essential food assistance to our neighbors here at Priest Lake. Thank you for your generosity.
Sincerely,
Dick Gumaer, President
Priest Lake Food Bank
